Annie Fahy co-founded Recovery Cafe in 2001. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia's Nursing program and obtained her Masters in Social Work from The University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She has obtained certification as an addictions counselor. She has extensive clinical experience in a variety of settings including designing and administrating a multilevel women's substance abuse treatment program for women with children and co authoring curriculum for drug court programs. She is a dynamic trainer and specializes in training and consultation in Motivational Interviewing, Working with complex client presentation and Compassionate Fatigue in staff. She has trained with Pat Schneider as a writer and facilitator of writing workshops for marginalized populations. Annie's other interests include harm reduction, narrative therapy and mind body work with trauma. She is a U.S. board member for Pumpkin House an orphange based in Ahmeddnaggar India. (She is a writer and a skier and practices many other behaviors for fun.)
